Bring a real situation where the answer isn’t obvious. The mentor won’t simply tell you what to do. It will challenge how you’re thinking about the decision, help you see the trade-offs, and work with you toward a decision you can explain and defend.
Give enough context to understand the choice, constraint or trade-off. Two or three sentences is plenty, and you can keep company and project details anonymous.

Keep it confidential
You don't need to share company, client, codebase or other sensitive information. Describe the situation at a general or anonymized level — the decision, constraints and trade-offs are usually enough. You can also fictionalize details or use a hypothetical version of a real situation.
Instead of “At [company], our payments service…” try “I'm deciding whether to refactor a critical service now or ship an important feature first.”
